Since she’s taller than me and I didn’t want to shoot directly into the bright afternoon sun, I had her stand on the staircase a few steps below me. The over-hang in the courtyard provide a nice bit of shade so she didn’t have to squint, while still allowing the sun to illuminate the left side of her face.
